Β BOONE, NC — The family of an 11-year-old boy killed by carbon monoxide in a Boone motel is suing the motel chain and several others.
Two years ago, Jeffrey Williams of Rock Hill died after he stayed at the Best Western Plus. Β A faulty pool heater is to blame. Β An elderly couple who stayed in the same room weeks earlier also died. Β
William’s family is suing Best Western International, along with AJD Investments, which owns the hotel, and Appalachian Hospitality Management. Β
Boone’s Police and Fire Departments are also listed in the lawsuit.
