MINT HILL, N.C. — Police executing a search warrant arrested a Mint Hill man for Kidnapping and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance among other charges on Monday.
Authorities arrested Justin Lee Pruner, 24, of Mint Hill at his home without incident. According to reports, officers met with a woman claiming to be held against her will. An investigation ensued and detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence of Mr. Pruner as well as an arrest warrant for Mr. Pruner.
Pruner was charged with Misdemeanor Communicating Threats, Misdemeanor Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Felony Habitual Misdemeanor Assault, and Second Degree Kidnapping.
Contraband was found inside the home and Mr. Pruner was also charged with Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling/Vehicle/Place of Controlled Substances, and Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver a Controlled Substance.
Mr. Pruner was transported to the Mecklenburg County Jail.
