U.S. Senate Passes The “Sunshine Protection Act”

The legislation now moves to the U.S. House

The U.S. Senate passes the “Sunshine Protection Act” by unanimous consent to make Daylight Saving Time permanent.

The legislation now moves to U.S. House, if passed, it then goes to the President’s desk to be signed. Gone could be the days of springing ahead and falling back.

IF this goes through, the sun will not rise until just after 8:30 AM through the end of December into the beginning of January. There would also be no sunsets before 6 PM in the Carolinas.
