ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. – A Taylorsville man was arrested Friday, March 18th, and charged with statutory rape of a child by an adult, according to a news release.
Dustin Townsend, 20, was transported to Alexander County Detention Center and placed under a $250,000 secured bond after appearing in Alexander District Court Monday, March 21st.

These charges stem from an investigation that began in January 2022. No other details have been provided at this time.
