TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — A Taylorsville father was arrested Wednesday for child abuse after a baby sustained multiple broken bones, according to the sheriff’s office.
The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office sparked an investigation into 25-year-old Roger Adkins III in late March 2022.
Adkins is the biological father of the victim, who was approximately six to seven months old when the assaults happened, according to authorities.
The assaults are believed by investigators to have happened at the father’s home.
Injuries sustained include multiple broken bones, deputies say.
The child is currently hospitalized.
Adkins has been charged with felony child abuse inflicting serious injury.
