CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The criminal trial date has been set for the CMPD officer charged in the shooting death of an unarmed man. Β
Wes Kerrick was charged with voluntary manslaughter in the death of Jonathan Ferrell. Β Kerrick shot Ferrell 10 times in 2013 after he says Ferrell charged at him.
Kerrick’s criminal trial is set for July 20th in Uptown Charlotte. Β Burke County Judge Robert C. Ervin will preside over the trial.
