Hot & Humid Wednesday
Scattered showers and storms on tap for Wednesday afternoon
Discussion:
A weak front will cross the area on Wednesday bringing another day of scattered showers and storms. Slightly drier air will build in on Thursday. Friday looks to be our most active day with scattered to numerous showers as a ‘cool’ front moves through. No one day looks to be a washout and we are not expecting widespread severe weather, however, isolated afternoon storms producing gusty winds, frequent lightning and small hail are possible.
Forecast:
Tonight: Partly cloudy and mild. Low temperatures bottom out in the mid 60s.
Wednesday: Scattered showers and isolated storms. High temperatures top out in the upper 80s. Winds will be out of the west/southwest at 10-20 mph.
Thursday (Cinco de Mayo): Mostly sunny with a few showers possible in the evening. Highs: Mid 80s.
Friday: A cold front will bring scattered to numerous showers likely in the afternoon and evening. We will fine-tune the timing and potential severe weather threat over the next couple of days.
Saturday: Scattered showers and storms in the afternoon. High temperatures top out in the upper 70s near 80 degrees.
Have a wonderful week!
Kaitlin
