AVERY COUNTY, NC – One person is killed and four others were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after a van plowed through a crowd at The Bear Race in Linville on Thursday, July 7th.
City officials say the tragic event occurred around 6:30 p.m
According to a news release, the accelerator in the vehicle became stuck.
