CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person has died in a house fire in North Charlotte, according to fire officials.
Firefighters were called to the home in the 5100 block of Poplar Springs Road around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon. It took 27 firefighters about 15 minutes to control the fire.
A dog also died in the fire.
A task force made up of the Charlotte Fire Department, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, ATF and the SBI is investigating the cause.
