GASTON COUNTY,NC–Three friends from Gaston County made a difference by collecting over 700lbs of food for Gaston County Police Department Animal Control.
Twins Claire and Camille Weiss and friend Lucas Larrazabal decided to do something to help others instead of receiving gifts for their birthday.
With this in mind the three decided on helping animals at the Gaston County Animal Shelter.
When invitations for the party were sent out a message was written on each one saying, “In lieu of gifts please bring a bag of dog or cat food for the Gaston County Animal Shelter.”
The night of the party attendees were so generous that over 700lbs of dog and cat food was received for the shelter.
