FORT MILL,SC–A major outdoor retailer is planning to open a store near Charlotte.
Cabela’s has bought the Plaza Fiesta property near Carowinds in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
Plans call for tearing down the mall and building a 97,000 square foot store on the 20 acres of land.
Cabela’s sells hunting, fishing, and camping equipment and is considered similar to Bass Pro shops.
Work on the store will begin next year with an opening scheduled for 2015, Cabela’s says their expected to hire around 225 full time, part-time and seasonal workers.
