CHARLOTTE N.C.– A woman in a motorized wheelchair was hit by a city bus just before noon today at the intersection of N. Church and W. Trade St. The woman has been transported to CMC Main with serious injuries.
Witnesses say the woman was crossing W. Trade St. in the crosswalk when the bus turned a corner and struck her wheelchair, knocking her onto the pavement.
Witnesses helped the woman until medic could arrive. The woman’s name has not been released. There’s no word on any charges against the bus driver.
