No Swim Advisory in Effect for Lake Norman

CHARLOTTE, NC — A no swim advisory is in effect for Lake Norman.  1,000 gallons of sewage spilled into a cove in Denver Wednesday morning.

The Lincoln County Health Director says a mechanical failure at a lift station is to blame.  

The Public Works Department is continuously testing the water and will notify the public when it safe to swim again.
