
CHARLOTTE, NC– Police say they have charged four individuals for their involvement in a armed robbery that occurred on Monroe Road.
On Wednesday, officers say they responded to an armed robbery at the Circle K gas station on Monroe Road.
Upon Arrival, the clerk told police that he unlocked the front door for a subject to make a purchase when two suspects forced their way into the business.
The suspects then reportedly flashed a firearm and took property, fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
Officers who were in the area say they observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspects vehicle, after they turned around the suspect vehicle took off at a high rate of speed.
When officers initiated a traffic stop the car pulled over and authorities say three suspects took off running while the driver stayed in the car.
Authorities later apprehended all four suspects and charged Deshawn Thompson, Rasquez Smith, Charlie Moore and Denzell Flowers with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
