
CHARLOTTE, NC– The torrential rain is causing many of this weekend’s activities to be canceled or postponed.
Here’s a look at what events have been affected.
- Komen Race for Cure (Canceled)
- CMS Football Game (Postponed) – South Meck and Berry – moved to Monday 10/5 at 7pm. Location: TBD Berry’s Homecoming has been moved to 10/9

AL Brown at Vance postponed until Monday, Oct 5 at 7pmVance Homecoming Rescheduled for October 23
- Carowinds (Closed) Friday, Oct 2nd
- DMV (Several DMV’s have suspended drivers tests, Check website for details)
- Oktoberfest (Not Canceled) will add additional tents to add shelter from the rain.
- Carolina Renaissance Festival opening day postponed until Sunday, October 4th
- Ghost Train at Tweetsie Railroad has been canceled for Friday and Saturday.
- Chief’s Cup at BB&T ballpark: Canceled, ticket money will be donated to Levine Children’s Hospital
- Pineville Fire Dept. 8th Annual Fishing Tournament: Rescheduled to Oct. 10
- Weddington Litter Sweep rescheduled to Oct. 10
- Wendy’s Invitational on Sunday canceled due to weather.
- Downtown Salisbury Zombie Walk postponed until Nov. 7.
- Caldwell County Big Sweep postponed
- Union County High School football games canceled for Oct 2nd.
- Female First Responders Open House (Canceled)
- Hola Charlotte Festival rescheduled for Oct. 18th.
