No Charges After SUV Kills Grandmother in Her Yard
Β CHARLOTTE, NC —Β The driver who reportedly fell asleep before hitting and killing a woman in her own front yard has not been charged.
The accident happened Wednesday on Highway 200 at Vanderburg Drive.Β Troopers say 26-year-old Shane Stanley went off the road and ran over 74-year old Evelyn Tarlton.Β She was gardening with her husband.
Tarlton yelled for her husband to get out of the way, but she wasn’t able to.
