CHARLOTTE, N.C.– The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department charged a man with murder after a shooting Saturday night in West Charlotte.Β
Police responded to the 3800 block of Davis Avenue around 11:10 p.m. Saturday. Β
When they arrived, they found 2 men suffering from gunshot wounds. Β
Medic pronounced Robert Griffin, 29, dead at the scene. Β
Montreal Forman, 25, was transported to Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries.
Police say they believe that an altercation led to the shooting. Β They also say that several young children were inside the home at the time of the shooting. Β
After being released from the hospital, police charged Forman with the murder of Griffin.Β
Forman was transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office where he was served the murder warrant.Β
