TORONTO (AP) β€” The American League Championship Series has left Kansas City for Toronto and play resumes this evening with Game 3. The Royals won the first two games and with a victory tonight would have 10 straight ALCS victories dating back to 1985. Johnny Cueto (KWAY’-toh) is starting for the Royals against Marcus Stroman for the Blue Jays.

NEW YORK (AP) β€” The Mets top the National League Championship Series two games to none after beating the Cubs 4-1 yesterday. Curtis Granderson and Daniel Murphy carried the Mets’ attack, combining to score three times and collecting three of their five hits. The series resume at Wrigley Field tomorrow.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) β€” The NFL game this evening has the Eagles home to the Giants. New York tops the NFL East with a record of 3-2 while the Eagles are tied for second with Dallas with a record of 2-3. The Eagles have won 11 of the last 14 meetings between the divisional rivals.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) β€” It was Tom Brady against the Colts once again yesterday. Meeting for the first time since the “Deflategate” game last January, the Patriots beat the Colts in Indianapolis 34-27 as Brady threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) β€” Joey Logano won his second straight Chase race yesterday, winning at Kansas Speedway. Matt Kenseth led for 153 laps but wound up 14th, leaving him last among the 12 drivers still alive in the Chase heading to Talladega, the final race in the “contender” round.
