LENOIR, N.C. — Police say a man was killed after a tree he was cutting down struck him as it fell. The incident happened on Wright Street in Lenoir on Wednesday.
Michael Roark, the owner of Roark’s Tree Service, was pronounced dead at the scene after he was hit by the tree. He was 36-years-old.
