BOONE, N.C. — Police are asking for the public’s help after someone stole an ambulance. Β Investigators say a Watauga Medics ambulance was taken from Kid Brewer Stadium on the campus of Appalachian State University Thursday evening. Β
The ambulance was seen traveling south on NC 105 near Poplar Grove Road south. Β A short time later, officers located the ambulance abandoned at The Cottages of Boone.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for this crime. Β Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 828-268-6959.
