
SALISBURY, N.C.– The Salisbury Police Department arrested two people in connection to the shooting on North Shaver Street last weekend.
Police arrested Kapetra Lyerly,33, and Willie Williams Jr, 30, after police say they tried to steal the victims’ beer on the front porch of a vacant house.
Edward Sifford and Matthew Dwyer were shot in the argument over the beer and were taken to NC Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem. They are both expected to make a full recovery.
Lyerly has an outstanding warrant for her arrest for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and is already in the Rowan County Detention Center under other charges.
Williams was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and is in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond.
