Police: 2 arrested after shooting over beer

SALISBURY, N.C.– The Salisbury Police Department arrested two people in connection to the shooting on North Shaver Street last weekend. Β 

Police arrested Kapetra Lyerly,33, and Willie Williams Jr, 30, after police say they tried to steal the victims’ beer on the front porch of a vacant house.

Edward Sifford and Matthew Dwyer were shot in the argument over the beer and were taken to NC Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem. Β They are both expected to make a full recovery. Β Β 

Lyerly has an outstanding warrant for her arrest for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and is already in the Rowan County Detention Center under other charges. Β 

Williams was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and is in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond. Β
