Investigators Sort Through More Than 7,000 Stolen Guns

PAGELAND, SC — Investigators are just beginning to sort through more than 7,000 stolen guns discovered inside a Chesterfield County home last week.

We were at the Sheriff’s office as deputies unloaded some of the guns from a tractor-trailer Monday. A search warrant led them to find the weapons, piles of ammunition and other stolen goods inside Brent Nicholson’s home on Highway 9 in Pageland Friday.

“Every room in that house, including the bathroom, had guns stacked up in it,” said Sheriff Jay Brooks. “And then ammo in every little corner. There was an upstairs; you couldn’t even get up the steps.”

Investigators will record serial numbers and try to return the stolen guns to their rightful owners. The Sheriff says more people could still face charges.
