LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C.– One person was shot and killed Saturday night in Lancaster County.
Lancaster County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting on Douglas Road around 11:20 p.m. Saturday. A caller told dispatch someone had been shot and struck a building with their vehicle.
Upon arrival, deputies found 29-year-old Carlos Antonio Massey in the driver’s seat of a Honda Accord suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Massey was transported to Springs Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
At this time, no one has been taken into custody in connection to the shooting.
“I am certain there are witnesses who know what happened to Mr. Massey,” said Sheriff Barry Faile. “I encourage anyone who knows what happened or hears talk on the street about what happened to contact the sheriff’s office.”
