179 Pigeons Seized Near Sharon Amity

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — 179 pigeons, including 15 babies, were seized from an apartment off Sharon Amity. The pigeons have been given to the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, which has been giving medical exams to the birds.

According to the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, the pigeons are covered in parasites and have feces caked into the legs. Some of the birds are suffering from infections and one of the birds is blind with no feathers.
