Fifty People Arrested In Lincolnton Drug Roundup

LINCOLNTON, NC– Catawba and Lincoln county sheriff’s say they arrested 50 suspects in a drug round up Wednesday morning.

Armed with warrants, authorities say they executed Operation 50-50 around 6 a.m. Wednesday, were officers set out to roundup a list of 50 individuals involved in illegal drug activity.

Authorities say a there were more than 220 felony drug related charges on the 50 defendants, with 20 facing multiple drug trafficking charges facing mandatory prison time.

The offenders reportedly ranged from the age of 18 to 71 with over half being repeat offenders.
