Police: Man Wearing Darth Vader Mask Robs Pineville Credit Union

PINEVILLE, N.C. — Police say a man wearing a Darth Vader mask and carrying a shotgun robbed a credit union in Pineville.

Investigators say the suspect entered the Pineville State Employees Credit Union on Pineville-Matthews Road Monday morning just before midday.  He was armed with a long gun and demanded money from the bank teller.

No one was injured in the robbery and the suspect was seen leaving the area in a 4-door gray Chevy Suburban.  

Witnesses described the suspect as a black male, 5’5" tall, unknown weight, wearing dark clothing and a Darth Vader mask.
