ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) β Donald Trump is giving the pope his blessing.
At a campaign stop in New Hampshire, the Republican presidential candidate said, “I like the pope … lot of personality, good man.”
Trump’s remark was in response to a woman in the audience who asked if he plans to meet with Francis next week during the pope’s U.S. visit.
Instead of answering the question, Trump said, “Well, the pope believes in global warming. You do know that, right?” The Republican front-runner added, “Hey, in this room it’s so hot in here maybe I’ll start to believe it myself.”
