DALLAS, N.C. — Police are investigating a suspected bank robbery that happened in Gaston County. Β
Officials say the incident happened at the drive thru window at the BB&T on West Trade Street. Β The bomb squad detonated a suspicious device on the scene. Β Several roads in the area are closed as police continue to investigate.
Extra officers were dispatched to Carr Elementary School as a precaution shortly after the robbery. Β The school dismissed students on time. Β
