Burke County, NC– Authorities say a police chase left a Burke County man behind bars early Wednesday morning.
Reports say Christopher Paul Crawford, 40, passed an officer on I-40 at a high rate of speed, when the officer attempted to stop Crawford he exited I-40 and traveled on various roads before returning to I-40.
Officers claim Crawford traveled in excess on 95 mph on I-40 before pulling over.
Crawford was charged with driving while impaired, reckless driving and fleeing and eluding arrest.
