
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The CMPD is currently conducting an investigation concerning the alleged exploitation of a minor by CMS students.
According to reports, this incident occurred at a private residence and allegedly involved several current and former students from Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. Officials say they are also investigating alleged misdemeanor larceny and damage to property.
Officials say the investigation is in its early stages and involves a victim who is only 15 years old.
Due to the age of the victim and sensitive nature of this case, officials say her name and identity will not be released. Additional information will be released once the investigation has been completed.
Detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit are reportedly working closely with the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System.
