Highway 115 Closed Due To Wreck

CORNELIUS, N.C. — A portion of Highway 115 has been shut down this afternoon due to an accident involving a tractor trailer.

The accident occurred around noon on Monday, causing Main Street to be shut down at Potts Street and the Railroad bridge.

Traffic is being routed onto Potts Street as a detour.

Highway 115 is likely to be shut down for some time due to possible bridge damage. Officials say this could lead to a lengthy detour situation.
