CHESTER COUNTY, S.C.– An early morning wreck in Chester County, S.C. left one person dead Sunday.
S.C. Highway Patrol say the wreck happened around 6:15 a.m. on SC 97 near Josie’s Road, about 7 miles east of Chester.
Troopers say a 2002 Honda 4-door sedan crossed the center line, hitting a 2010 Lincoln SUV head-on.
The driver of the Lincoln had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to Richland Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the Honda was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Troopers say the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
