GASTONIA, N.C. — Police are investigating an attempted bank robbery in Gastonia.
Investigators say the incident happened just before 10am at Fort Financial Credit Union on North New Hope Road. Two men and a female, all wearing surgical masks, attempted to enter the bank but the doors were locked. The three suspects then took off in a grey or silver sedan, possibly a Grand Prix.
There were no injuries, and no money was taken.
