MOORESVILLE, NC — Four people have been arrested following an attempted armed robbery late last night, and police are still looking for a fifth.
Police responded to an attempted armed robbery call around 11:00pm Sunday night in the Willow Creek Apartments. The victims said five men forced their way into the apartment and tried to rob them at gunpoint. When the victims resisted, the suspects took off in an older model Hyundai Elantra.
Officers in the area quickly spotted the suspect’s vehicle and identified four suspects.
Police say Tymir Lowe, 24, of Kannapolis, Taveres Morrison, 17, of Mooresville, Devonte Coleman, 19, of Mooresville and Devion Coleman, 17, of Mooresville were all arrested.
They are all charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit a robbery with a dangerous weapon, and first degree burglary.
Officers are still looking for one additional suspect, Genesis Kerns, 16, of Mooresville.
