Zika Virus Outbreak Declared International Emergency
AP — A virus outbreak is being declared an international emergency.
The World Health Organization estimates there could be up to 4 million cases of the Zika virus in the Americas in the next year. The mosquito-borne disease has been linked to birth defects.
The virus is not spreading locally in the U.S., but is coming in through travelers.
Brazil remains the hardest-hit country, with more than 4,000 reported cases.
