GASTONIA, NC — Apparently a naked ‘God’ and ‘Death’ is no match for the tasers of Gastonia Police officers.
Gastonia Police were called to 1110 Pebblestone Way just after 8:00am Tuesday morning in response to a suspicious person who was naked and had thrown all of his belongings out of his apartment.
Officers sayΒ Donald Klinesmith, 40, was claiming to be both ‘God’ and ‘Death.’ When officers approached the man he punched one in the head and also struck another.
KlinesmithΒ was tased by officers and taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center for treatment. HeΒ has been charged with assault on a law enforcement officer with serious injury, assault on a government official, and simple assault. The simple assault charge is for punching a neighbor in the head with a closed fist.
One of the officers injured received medical treatment, but both are expected to be okay.
