Police Make Drug Arrest In Lincolnton
LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Police say they arrested a man for having a large amount of marijuana in his home in Lincolnton.
Gary Francis Stroman Jr. AKA “New Orleans” was arrested after police say they found 120 grams of marijuana inside his residence.
The investigation started after drug complaints were made about specific residence in an apartment complex, according to detectives.
Police also say they found paraphernalia utilized in the trafficking, manufacturing, selling, and delivering of marijuana, a large sum of U.S. currency, several cell phones, and various records, ledgers, and record keeping items during their search.
Due to the amount of marijuana found and the way it was packaged, the evidence considers Stroman to be a mid-level supplier of high grade marijuana to lower street level dealers. The marijuana that was seized has a street value of approximately $6,000.
Stroman was placed in the Lincoln County Jail and charged with PWISD Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was given a $25,000 secured bond and issued a first appearance court day on Friday, February 5, 2016.
