SANTA CLARA, CA — Governor Pat McCrory posted a picture to his Twitter page today showing the damage from his accident following the Super Bowl.
The picture shows extensive damage to the rear end of the patrol car McCrory was riding in when another driver hit them from behind.
The Governor posted the image with a message stressing the importance of wearing a seat belt.
McCrory suffered minor injuries following the accident after the Super Bowl in California but refused transport. He continued on to his destination in another vehicle.
The Governor issued the following statement in a release regarding the incident:
βWe were very fortunate, and while I am still proud of the Carolina Panthers, this puts the game in proper perspective,βΒ said Governor McCrory.βI want to thank the California Highway Patrol and EMS for their professionalism and quick action.β
