Police: Man Arrested For Several East Charlotte Robberies

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say they arrested a man for several robberies that happened in east Charlotte over the weekend.

Investigators say Eric Orr committed the following crimes:

Feb. 6th: a victim reported that Orr held her against her will and took her vehicle without her permission.

Feb. 7th: employee at Quick Trip on Albemarle Road said suspect robbed the store at gunpoint.

Feb. 7th: employee at Circle K on Albemarle Road said suspect robbed the business at gunpoint.

Police say they located Orr driving a stolen vehicle Sunday.  Officers tried to get Orr to pull the car over but police say he refused.  A vehicle pursuit ensued, according to police.

Officers were able to take Orr into custody a short time later.  He has been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, felony flee and elude, reckless driving, assault on an officer, two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of 2nd degree kidnapping, common law robbery and false imprisonment.
