
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say a Charlotte-Mecklenburg school bus was hit by two bullets while transporting summer school students in Southwest Charlotte.Β
The CMS school bus driver told officers that at 2 p.m., he left Olympic High School and was headed to drop students off at West Mecklenburg High School, when he heard shots near the intersection of Sandy Porter Road and W. Arrowood Road. The driver continued to drive the bus to West Meck where the students were dropped off. The driver said he returned to Olympic High School and that’s when he discovered the bullet holes and called police.Β
None of the students on the bus or the bus driver suffered injuries.
