Lincolnton, N.C. — Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office investigators have arrested a Conover man on drug charges.
Griffin Douglas Sheppard, 20, of 2490 Eagle Drive, NC, Conover, was charged with one felony count each of Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Marijuana, Felony Possession of Marijuana, and Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substances.
Following a traffic stop in Denver officers smelled the odor of marijuana, and searched the vehicle. Detectives found a quarter pound of marijuana in individual baggies hidden inside a protein shake container to mask the smell and conceal the drug.
“The marijuana was packaged consistent with the sell and delivery of the drug and not for personal use,” says Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Lt. Jon Propst.
Sheppard was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center then released on a $10,000 secured bond.
