FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — A South Carolina inmate has been charged with threatening a judge and deputy sheriff following an incident that occurred in September of 2015.
Marvin Workman, 30, was with two counts of Threatening Life, Person or Family of a Public Employee.
Records indicate that Workman threatened to kill Judge Brian McDowell Gibbons and Deputy Oren Gadson during a court hearing on September 2, 2015. The incident was captured on audio recording and witnessed by attendees in the courtroom.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division investigated the case. The charges are misdemeanors that are punishable, upon conviction, by a fine of $500.00, up to 30 days in prison or both.
