CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools’ second School Options Lottery application period begins Monday, March 7, 2016, at 7 p.m. and will be open through 10 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2016.
Families who participated in the first lottery may also participate in the second lottery, but the first lottery application, and wait pool position will be voided.
The second lottery is best for families who are new to the school district or did not participate in the first lottery and those who have reconsidered school options and wish to make new selections.
First lottery results and wait pool sizes along with a “Magnet Schools with Space” document will be available on the CMS Magnet Programs website to aid families with second lottery application selections.
