ASHEVILLE, N.C. — A casting call has been issued for Dirty Dancing. Tona B. Dahlquist Casting is looking for extras, period cars and dancers.
Filming will take place in Asheville, N.C. and surrounding areas such as Hendersonville, Casheirs and Saluda. Anyone working as an extra must be willing to work as a local in any area where filming is taking place.
Filming will begin in April and continue through May. Submissions must include current photos (which can be taken with a cell phone).
For extras: The company is seeking males and females of all ethnic backgrounds 18-years of age and up for filming. Extra submissions should be sent to ddmoviecasting@gmail.com.
All submissions should include two current photos (close up and full length), name, age, race, phone, height, weight, clothing sizes, city, state you reside and please list any tattoos or piercings that can be seen in summer attire.
For period vehicles: The company is seeking vehicles from the late 1950’s-1975. All submissions should include current photo of the vehicle as well as a current photo of the owner. Period vehicle submissions should be sent to ddmoviecars@gmail.com.
All submissions should include the owner’s name, age, phone, city, state the vehicle is located as well as the vehicle’s year, make and model.
For experienced dancers: The company is seeking adults of all ages, males and females. However, they are especially in need of college age students (20’s-30’s) with dance experience. The dancer must be available multiple days throughout the filming period.
Dancers should be experienced in dance moves and styles as seen in the original movie. Dancer submissions should be sent to ddmoviedancers@gmail.com.
