CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after three men were shotΒ inΒ east Charlotte.
The shooting happened around 12 p.m. at Parkland Circle near East W.T. Harris Boulevard.

MEDIC says one of the victimsΒ was pronounced dead at the scene. HeΒ has been identified as 24-year-old Michael Jefferies Jr. His family has been notified of his death.
A second victim was transported from the scene to Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries. Police say a short time later a third victim showed up at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center with serious injuries.
Police say they do not believe this is a random act of violence. Β No arrests have been made at this time.
