A new report in the LA Times says researchers who have analyzed America’s eating habits can sum up what’s wrong with our diet in just two words: ultra-processed foods!

That’s stuff like frozen pizzas, breakfast cereals and soda.

And the new research published in the medical journal called “BMJ Open” says that junk makes up 58 percent of all calories Americans consume in a day.

Bottom line, the science guys say: if Americans are ever going to get serious about added sugars , we have to cut waaaaaay back on ultra-processed foods.
