9 Vehicle Break-Ins Reported In Fort Mill

FORT MILL, SC — The York County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a string of break-ins that happened overnight on Wednesday into Thursday morning in the Waterstone Subdivision and Baxter.

Deputies say most of the vehicles had their doors locked and the suspects smashed the windows to break-in. Five of the break-ins happened in the Waterstone Subdivision and 4 others in Baxter. Suspects took various items including computers, iPads, wallets, purses, bookbags, and one handgun.

A neighbor in Waterstone reported seeing two tall and slender black males breaking into one of the vehicles between 12:30 and 1:30 Thursday morning.
