UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Union County Sheriffs carried out a search warrant on the residence of a suspicious heroin dealer early Thursday morning, at 8217 Idlewild Road, Hemby Bridge, NC. Five suspects were arrested on numerous drug-related charges.
According to investigators, approximately $15,000 worth of heroin was seized along with six firearms, marijuana, needles and drug paraphernalia from the residence.
According to Sheriff Eddie Cathey, the investigation originated in response to citizen complaints of suspected drug activity. During all hours of the day there was a high volume of vehicle and foot traffic in and out of the residence.
Over the past month, officers followed these tips and made several undercover purchases of heroin from the residence.
