Possible Carbon Monoxide Exposure On Bus Being Investigated At AG Middle School

UPDATE: Officials say the bus tested negative for carbon monoxide.  Forty-six students on two buses were tested for CO exposure.  A few patients had minimal CO levels.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Medic is checking out children that may have been exposed to carbon monoxide on a school bus at Alexander Graham Middle School this morning.AG Middle

The Charlotte Fire Department and Medic’s Mass Casualty Unit responded to a call for possible carbon monoxide exposure at AG Middle School on Runnymede Lane around 10am Wednesday.

Officials with CMS said the school immediately contacted medic after a bus driver reported not feeling well.

CMS says all students are being checked out by medic and all parents have been notified.

Crews are also inspecting the initial school bus and a second that was parked nearby.
