ROCK HILL, SC — Police are looking for the suspect they say walked into the home of a Rock Hill man and shot him in the stomach last night.
The shooting happened around 9:30pm Thursday night at 244 Simrill Street. There police found 50-year-old Thomas Murray at the base of his porch steps with a gunshot wound to the stomach.
Medic transported Murray to CMC for treatment. He is expected to be okay.
Murray and another person who was visiting with him at the time of the shooting say they were sitting inside when an unknown black male entered the home and shot Murray in the stomach before fleeing. Neither person knew the suspect, and no words were exchanged.
The suspect is said to have fled in a black Audi sedan.
Officers were later notified that Murray was wanted by Probation and Parole and entered into the NCIC.
